Chinese cellsite vendor who have partnered in February 2007 with Samsung to produce the Home NodeB. At the end of October 2007, it announced commercial availability of its ZXWR H8901 product and claimed the world's first W-CDMA commercial Home NodeB - although other femtocell vendors may dispute this. The product can simultaneously handle 4 voice calls or up to 7.2 Mbit/s data. Starhub of Singapore announced a six month trial using Huawei and ZTE femtocells in May 2008, but launched commercial service with only the Huawei product in November 2008. Texas Instruments claim to provide the underlying chipset within Huawei's femtocell, using their DSP. Some key advertised capabilities of the Home Node B ZXWR H8901 include: Highly compact: 1.5 liters in volume and 0.8kg in weight. Plug & Play: Self installing Low RF transmit Power: 20mW maximum Minimise macrocell interference: automatic frequency selection, adaptive scrambling code planning and adaptive adjacent cells set configuration function. It can automatically select a carrier and generate a suitable primary scrambling code to eliminate the interference to/from neighbour cells.
