At the end of October 2007, it announced commercial availability of its ZXWR H8901 product and claimed the world's first W-CDMA commercial Home NodeB - although other femtocell vendors may dispute this. The product can simultaneously handle 4 voice calls or up to 7.2 Mbit/s data.

Starhub of Singapore announced a six month trial using Huawei and ZTE femtocells in May 2008.
