Femtocell Equipment Vendors

There are several types of vendors, many of whom are collaborating to provide complete solutions:

Independent femtocell vendors:

- Ubiquisys: Launched ZoneGate in Feb 2007. Teamed up with NetGear to produce complete home gateway with DSL, WiFi and VoIP.

- ip.access: Launched Oyster 3G in Feb 2007. Already had 2G GSM product and expertise from that.

- RadioFrame: System vendor of femtocells and UNC. Launched versions for iDEN (US based standard) and WiFi, and currently developing a 3G variant.

- Kineto Wireless: UNC vendor with success in WiFi already. Proven interoperability with many other vendors.

RAN equipment vendors:

- Alcatel-Lucent

- Motorola

- Nokia-Siemens

- Huawei

Subsystem vendors:

- Sonus

- Tatara

- Airvana

DSL equipment vendors

- picoChip: First to market, small design house based in Bath, England.

- Analog Devices

- Texas Instruments: One of the largest mobile phone chip vendors reported in disruptivewireless.blogspot.com to be investing this space.

- Freescale: Formerly Motorola semiconductor division and a mobile phone chip vendor

- STMelectronics
