Mobilkom Austria Logo Mobilkom Austria, which operates under the A1 brand, announced a trial of Huawei's femtocell equipment in November 2008. The trial will last until mid 2009 after which a commercial launch is planned.

Only 35 femtocells are to be tested, but these include two different models:

  • A domestic model with the normal capacity of 4 simultaneous calls
  • An enterprise/business model with an increased capacity of up to 16 simultaneous calls.
