Their femtocell is provided as a reference design, rather than a complete end-to-end solution. The femtocell can be software programmed to operate with either CDMA (both 1xRTT and EV-DO) or 3G UMTS standard, and is claimed to be capable of handling future standards including LTE. The system architecture is entirely based on IMS/SIP and so the femtocell is directly connected into the IMS core network, rather than using a femtocell gateway or Iu-h interface. Hardware platform is the picoChip PC2xx chipset. The femtocell design comes in two sizes:
No mention is made of interworking with any femto gateway. Announced a combined femto/home gateway, using Ikanos VDSL chipset and a UAP104 at the CES Exhibition in January 2009.

Global Wireless Technologies appears to be a small startup based in New Jersey, USA. It provides virtually no company profile on its website. Not to be confused with Global Wireless Technology, a firm based in Minneapolis specialising in Antenna, RFID and medical applications.
