Bitwave semiconductors is based in Boston, USA and was formed in 2004 to focus on RFICs for mobile handsets.  Slight variants of these can also be used within femtocells.

BW1102 chipset was marketed with availability in sample quantities in Q2 2008.

They announced a complementary RF chipset for picoChip's baseband and control processing design in March 2008.
